I like to say that we were the baby photographers of choice for South West London celebrity mums but that isn’t the case quite yet!
From time to time interesting opportunities is do come our way and our maternity location shoot with Emilia Mitiku just around the corner from ITV’s London Southbank studio was one of those.
Pregnancy portraits are a big part of what we do in our Wimbledon studio. Our popular Bumps to Babies Cherubs package incorporates not only a maternity photo session but also a newborn session in the studio.
When we photographed singer Emilia Mitiku at ITV’s London Southbank studios she had just given a Daybreak performance of her latest single “You’re Breaking My Heart”.
At the time Emilia was 7 moths pregnant and had a very nice little bump forming.
Emilia was an absolute delight to photograph despite the ridiculously early start to her day. Halfway through her current tour Emilia has an incredibly busy schedule so it was great to get some lovely natural shots of her showing off a little bit of a bump.
We took a short series of portraits at a couple of different locations around London’s Southbank. The images were to be used for publicity so they not only had to show that she was pregnant but they needed to be stylish too.
You can check out some of Emilia Mitiku’s videos on YouTube, follow her on Twitter @EmiliaMitiku or find her on Facebook.com/EmiliaMitiku
When people hear the words maternity pictures they often think of the nude Demi Moore pregnancy photo by Anne Leibovitz that was published on the August 1991 cover of Vanity Fair. Whilst this style has been imitated many times over the past 20 years we think that you can still create beautiful and stylish portraits whilst keeping your clothes on!
