We’re delighted to have been shortlisted in The Merton Best Business Awards 2017.
The event sponsored by Merton Chamber of Commerce will be hosted at Epsom Down Racecourse in September and we’re in the running for The Extra Mile category.

The Merton best Business Awards

The Extra Mile category is for businesses demonstrating how they have gone the ‘extra mile’ in supporting their local community.

This category in The Merton best Business Awards is designed for already successful businesses who are keen to ‘give something back’.

We started our community outreach program in 2014 by donating studio portrait vouchers to local primary schools and clubs.
Every organisation is free to use the vouchers however they which and each voucher gives the recipients a portrait experience and beautiful image worth over £200. More often is the case that professional portraiture is out of the financial reach of many families that come to see us. We don’t believe it should be which is exactly the reason we continue to offer this to our local community.

Donations to Merton Schools

To date we have donated in excess of £200,000 worth of vouchers and helped raise thousands for our local primary schools. Hundreds of happy families have passed through our doors and walked away with pictures of their families they’ll treasure forever.

Both Michael’s parents taught at Primary and Secondary level in Merton for over 35 years so we know the support the schools need.
As parents ourselves with children in Merton schools it’s literally the least we could do.

Awards and new Croydon Studio

2017 has been a huge year for us as we opened our second studio.
We also became brand ambassadors for the UK largest baby photography promotion Cherubs.
Memory Gate Director Michael as also taken on the role of Chairman for the South East Region for The Master Photographer’s Association.

It’s also been a good year for awards as at the recent Master Photographer’s Association South East Region print competition we walked away with Studio Photographer of the Year, Classical Portrait photographer of the year and Under 5s Photographer of the year.
Along with other Silver, Bronze and Merit awards Marcin also finished 3rd placed Overall Photographer of the Year.

We’re looking forward to The Merton best Business Awards in September and have our fingers crossed.
