Since moving to our new Croydon studio in 2017 we’ve taken huge leaps photographically and this has been demonstrated in some of the awards we have picked up since moving.
2017 was a huge year for Memory Gate Photography Directors Michael Shilling and Marcin Mieczkowski.
At the start of the year Michael took on the role of Chairman for the South East Region for The Master Photographer’s Association.
Both Directors performed remarkably well in the region’s annual print competition, particularly Marcin who along with finishing 3rd overall won Portrait Studio Photographer of the year and Classical portrait photographer of the year.
Michael completed the trio of gold awards by becoming the Under 5’s Photographer of the year.
The event was hosted by The Print Foundry at their brand new training centre and award winning photographer Panikos Hajistilly was the judge.
Both Memory Gate Photographers also won Silver, Brozen and Merit awards in all the portrait categories including Maternity photographer of the year, Family photographer of the year and newborn photographer of the year.
For the 2018 Print Competition Master Photographers Association Chairman and CEO Ray Lowe was judge.
The event was once again hosted in Croydon at The Print Foundry.
Memory Gate Director Michael Shilling entered 5 Images into three categories achieving merit awards with four images and winning the most competitive category Newborn Photographer of the year.
