Our job as a portrait studio is essentially to capture Family and baby milestones. These baby milestones in your family can be small or all together life changing.

When is the best age to photograph babies?
One question we are asked on a regular basis is when is the best age to photograph babies.
Throughout the first year there are several milestones that you’ll either be capturing yourself or you’ll be visiting a portrait studio for.
Newborn photography is particular popular as are first year cake smash photoshoots but when I’m asked when is the best age to photograph babies I always give the same answer.
Baby’s first steps
First steps are one of of the most exciting baby milestones to reach. When we’re photographing the third stage of our Watch Me Grow shoots we always hope to get some first steps.
When we have a sitting baby that usually means it’s time for a second Watch Me Grow Photoshoot.
Typically a sitting baby would be around 7 or 8 months old.
This is one of absolute favourite stages to photograph as you can tell from some of our images.
Tummy time is the first stage of our Watch Me Grow baby milestone photography. The ideal age for this type of session is 2-5 months old.
What is the best age to have your baby photographed is a question we get a lot of parents asking us. We decided it would be a good idea to put together an infographic to help answer these questions.
